Who we are

Welcome to The Orchard Basket — where our family’s love for the land and simple living comes to life! We’re Daniel and Malinda Davidson, along with our daughter, Emma. In 2024, we planted new roots in the beautiful small town of Prosperity, South Carolina, turning our dream of a family farm into reality.

Both of us are full-time registered nurses, passionate about caring for others both inside and out. Since we have been nursing in the Columbia area, we have noticed a need for fresh fruits and vegetables available to certain communities. We decided to create the Surcee Give Back Baskets to the seniors in our area with hopes to expand as we grow. The fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and eggs that we will provide will help our senior population combat chronic diseases that are prevalent in our areas. When we’re not in scrubs, you’ll find us tending to our gardens, collecting fresh eggs, and creating handmade artisan goods that bring a touch of the farm to your home.

Our little piece of paradise offers seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, farm-fresh eggs, and handcrafted home goods — all grown and made with love and care.

For Malinda, originally from the Charleston area, moving back home to South Carolina has been a blessing. And for Daniel, a proud U.S. Army Combat Veteran, this farm has become a new mission: cultivating beauty, community, and joy from the ground up.

We’re so excited to share our journey and the bounty of The Orchard Basket with our friends, neighbors, and community. Thank you for supporting local dreams and helping us grow!
